Ambassador Program
Sarcoma survivors and caregivers educating communities, inspiring support, and letting the newly diagnosed know: "You Are Not Alone."
About the Program
Our Ambassadors are the heart of awareness — sharing real stories to drive real change.
Who Are Ambassadors?
The Sarcoma Alliance Ambassadors focus on educating the community about sarcoma cancers and the services we offer. Our ambassadors are sarcoma survivors and caregivers whose inspiring journeys can influence medical staff and donors to support our programs.
Your Power & Credibility
As a sarcoma survivor or caregiver, you have the power and credibility to influence hospitals and donors to listen and help us with our mission. At the Sarcoma Alliance, we encourage survivors to share their journeys so that the community understands how critical getting the right diagnosis is.
What Can I Do?
Our call to action is simple. We will work with you to reach out to cancer centers in your area so that they can help their patients by providing information to those diagnosed with sarcoma about the importance of a second opinion and about the Sarcoma Alliance grant.

Ambassadors in Action
Terry Healey shares his stories at events, conferences, and healthcare facilities across the country.
Terry Healey
Head & Neck Cancer Survivor · Ambassador
At the age of 20, Terry was diagnosed with a life-threatening fibrosarcoma cancer of the right maxilla. Referred to UCSF for follow-on treatment, he had a recurrence six months later that left him with a permanent facial difference — a traumatic experience that could have defined him. Instead, he transformed daily moments of inspiration and his 7-step survival kit, which ultimately was developed into a practical framework for others. Built on four core principles, his framework helps others deal with adversity, change, and conflict. After thirty cancer and reconstructive procedures, he had a major turning point that helped him to focus on the internal scars he had developed, rather than the external scars that everyone could see. He's now an author, keynote speaker, and business strategist whose popular programs are presented to organizations including Cisco Systems, Inc., Charles Schwab, Santa Clara University, Stanford University, and more.
Your Impact
Every story you share has the power to change a life.
"By sharing your own personal experiences, encouraging hospital administrators to educate patients about our programs, and helping inspire others to see the value of our mission, you can influence the lives of so many."
