Alison Olig

Alison graduated with a J.D. from the University of Minnesota School of Law after earning an undergraduate degree in Finance. She spent the first part of her career as an attorney, followed by work in federal regulatory compliance. She also has photo experience managing start-up and small companies. Additionally, Alison is a survivor of alveolar rhabdomyosarcoma, a pediatric sarcoma. Diagnosed at the age of 13, she successfully underwent a year of treatment at Omaha Children’s Hospital and at Mayo Clinic in Rochester. She has been cancer-free to date, and cherishes each day as a gift not to be taken for granted. For several years Alison has advocated on behalf of sarcoma patients and raised awareness of the long-term side effects that often plague survivors. Through this work she began volunteering with the Sarcoma Alliance, was then appointed to the Board, followed by three years of service as the Executive Director. In her free time Alison loves to travel, but also enjoys spending time at home with her husband, children, two dogs, and two cats.
