William Tseng, M.D. is a sarcoma surgical oncologist and Associate Professor of Surgery at the University of Southern California (USC), Keck School of Medicine. He was recruited from The University of Texas M.D. Anderson Cancer Center to help develop the Sarcoma Program at USC. He is currently on staff at Keck Hospital of USC, Los Angeles County+USC Medical Center, and Huntington Memorial Hospital.
Dr. Tseng has expertise in the surgical management of adult soft tissue sarcoma of the extremities, trunk, and abdomen. He believes in combining different treatment methods – surgery, systemic therapy and radiation therapy – when appropriate to each patient’s individual situation, to provide the best long-term outcome. He also believes in balancing aggressive treatment of a patient’s sarcoma with preserving quality of life. In addition to treating sarcoma patients, Dr. Tseng is actively involved in research and collaboration for this rare disease. His efforts are currently focused on liposarcoma and retroperitoneal sarcoma.
